Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Mercy Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging examinations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT imaging examinations, including intravenous contrast injections, in accordance with hospital guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and scanning areas for patient procedures, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
  • Transport or escort patients to and from the CT area, providing a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, performing quality control testing and recording maintenance in log books.
  • Ensure radiation safety to patients, public, and self, adhering to ODH and JC requirements.
  • Provide education to patients and/or family members on procedures and other educational requirements.
  • Maintain competencies as a Radiologic/CT Technologist, adhering to department, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Adhere to work schedules, PTO time off, and rotating emergency call, while also covering at other facilities within the Mercy Health Youngstown market.
  • Attend departmental staff meetings and in-services, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience, 2 years of Radiology experience preferred.
  • ARRT(R) Registered, current BLS Certification, Ohio Department of Health License for Radiologic Technologist.
  • Preferred: ARRT(R)(CT) Registered, ACLS preferred, previous experience preferred.
