Dishroom Attendant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Mountview Assisted Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dishroom area, ensuring all dishes and utensils are washed and sanitized, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Soak, scrape, wash, rinse, drain, and put away all pots, pans, dishes, and utensils in the dish machine or empty the dish machine and put away dishes after being air-dried.
• Clean the dish machine, sinks, and counters, and remove all garbage from the work area and the entire kitchen.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils as needed during food preparation stages.
• Keep work area equipment clean and in good condition.
• Dispose of garbage properly in the receptacle located outside of the building.
• Mop floors in the kitchen after each meal.
• Replenish soap for sinks and detergent for the dish machine as needed.
• Attend departmental meetings and required or preferred in-service training.
• Generate and develop ideas to improve the quality of care for residents or increase job productivity and satisfaction.
• Perform all job duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents, and visitors.
• Exhibit the highest level of customer service towards staff, residents, and visitors.
• Perform other work duties as assigned by the Dining Services Manager.
