Position Summary:
The System Designer II plays a crucial role as a technical expert for both sales and operational teams.

This position involves leading the assessment and validation of systems and materials, collaborating closely with sales and operations as the primary technical consultant.

The System Designer II must effectively communicate technology and product advantages while fostering strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle with both sales and operations.


The role includes designing intrusion detection, security, CCTV, and access control systems in alignment with established sales and operational guidelines.

The designer will receive project specifications from sales representatives and create system schematics.

They will select or confirm the optimal combination of products and installation techniques to deliver the most efficient solution tailored to customer needs.

Additionally, the designer serves as a technical resource for sales and operations team members and participates in meetings to ensure the accuracy of sales estimates and project layouts as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to interpret project specifications and drawings, determining system layouts.

- Engage with vendor partners as required.

- Coordinate with other departments to address customer inquiries or complaints.

- Promptly resolve questions and issues related to assigned projects raised by customers.

- Build and maintain client relationships by delivering timely and accurate services to enhance customer loyalty.

- Review designs and specifications prepared by external firms (e.g., MEP or FPE firms).

- Conduct equipment takeoffs and prepare counts from floor plans.

- Manage project documentation, including contracts, revisions, estimates, and specifications.

- Availability for extended hours to meet project timelines.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:
- An Associate's degree in Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent experience is preferred.

- Previous experience in commercial security systems design is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of low voltage communication systems.

- Experience with PDF markup tools (Bluebeam preferred).

- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience is preferred.

- Actively engage in personal and professional development, keeping abreast of current and emerging technologies relevant to the company.

- Comprehensive knowledge of product lines and associated components used by Everon.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure:
The salary range for this position is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for annual bonuses and equity options, contingent on individual and company performance.

We provide access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company matching, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellness benefits, and paid time off, among other offerings.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours of paid time off in their first year, with accrual rates increasing thereafter. We also observe six paid holidays each year.
