Forging Specialist

We are General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a leading provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations. We are looking for a talented Pressline Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift.

The salary for this position is $21.34 per hour, and we offer great benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, effective from the first day of employment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Interpreting Aerospace industry prints with assistance
2. Operating hydraulic forge presses
3. Using inspection tools and techniques
4. Setting proper oven urn temperature by alloy
5. Evaluating set-up to reconcile against quality standards
6. Verifying correct oven and die temperatures
7. Monitoring production run to verify quality and production std
8. Using all pyrometer equipment
9. Processing control through use of SPC
10. Making set-up on presses he/she operates
11. Understanding and following all applicable S.O.I.
12. Reconciling material against job traveler

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of open and close die forging operations and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
