The Bulk Delivery Driver is a critical role at TransForce, responsible for safely and efficiently operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers to transport and deliver products or materials in the packaged or palletized form to and from customer locations for local and regional distances.

This position requires the ability to unload pallets loaded with the product within customer accounts, reposition empty and loaded trailers, and interact with customers and sales teams while ensuring excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and be able to obtain and maintain a valid FMCSA physical certification with Interstate non-excepted classification within 60 days of entry into the position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing assigned pre-shift activities to ensure a productive shift, including reviewing work schedules, checking equipment, and supplies required to perform the work scheduled.
  • Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and in-route safety inspections of the truck and various trailers to ensure safe operation of all equipment according to FMCSA regulations.
  • Safely and legally operating the tractor-trailer at all times, following all applicable laws and Company policy.
  • Loading and securing cargo against movement and damage within the trailer.
  • Maintaining seal control as required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend information related to the trip and plan effectively for the trip.
  • Performing needed post-shift activities, including coupling and uncoupling trucks from various trailers, sliding tandems as needed, and opening and closing cargo doors.

The work environment will vary, including exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.
