Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated bakers, both part-time and full-time, to enhance our pastry program. As a baker, you will collaborate with a skilled team to ensure a well-organized and safe baking environment. Your role will involve crafting high-quality pastry items and baking them to perfection for our various locations. If you thrive in a structured setting and have a keen eye for detail, this position is ideal for you. Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the bakery as per the shift requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools and equipment before use.
  • Measure ingredients accurately to prepare dough.
  • Bake a variety of bread types, including pretzels and baguettes.
  • Adjust oven settings to achieve optimal baking results.
  • Create fillings for pastries and pies using various ingredients.
  • Shape dough for different pastry types, such as croissants and cookies.
  • Prepare custom pastries based on customer requests.
  • Suggest new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Monitor inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment are sanitized and clean.
  • Check the functionality of kitchen appliances regularly.
  • Restock supplies and manage inventory as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Basic math skills for recipe management.
  • Ability to remember and manage multiple recipes.
  • Kind and effective communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Previous experience in baking or food service is advantageous.
  • Training in food preparation and customer service is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
