About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Color Lab Technician to join our team at Alltex Staffing & Personnel. As a Color Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in the development of industrial manufacturing paint coating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze product samples, including analysis, specification comparison, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Operations teams, including Materials Scientists, Coatings Chemists, Production, and Quality Control, to ensure the best solution is developed and presented to final paint color.
  • Aid in continual laboratory process refinement and improvements.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and other work as required.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of product specifications, test procedures, test significance, and the value the larger organization derives from lab-generated analytical data.
  • Knowledge of color matching, QC, and lab experience is preferred.
  • Forklift experience is also preferred.
  • Chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co-workers, supervisors, and internal and external customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in physical science or chemistry is preferred.
  • Ability to use computer with the Windows operating system to complete timesheets, send and receive emails, and access information posted on the Company's intranet.
  • Ability to work on both 1st and 2nd shifts schedules and call-out basis.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, walk, bend, reach, and walk throughout working shift.
  • Ability to work with strong chemical smell.
  • Ability to work in Lab, Warehouse, and Office setting.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work in a Manufacturing-Laboratory environment, with a 1st shift schedule from 7AM to 4:30PM and a 2nd shift schedule from 2PM to 11:30PM.
