We are currently offering a Coding Quality Specialist I position that allows for remote work. Candidates must be located in the southern United States to be considered for this role. As a Coding Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting internal coding reviews to support our Coding Operations Department. Your main focus will be on providing coding education, training, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inpatient and outpatient coding reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards.
  • Provide feedback to coding staff and management to improve coding accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of review plans to meet coding quality goals.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure seamless coding operations.
  • Monitor and report coding accuracy rates to ensure they meet organizational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Coding Operations Department.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited coding program is necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • At least five years of coding experience in an acute care setting is required.
  • Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, and CCS.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
