About Our Retail Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our Retail Team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive shopping and donor experience, while contributing to the success of our Adult Rehabilitation Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area, ensuring a safe and organized environment for donors and staff.
  • Assist donors in receiving donated items and provide receipts, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Separate and sort donated materials into designated containers, adhering to supervisor instructions.
  • Collaborate with TSA PA/Drivers to load donations onto trucks, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Inform supervisors of needed items to prevent stock depletion.
  • Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Pass a background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with management, colleagues, customers, and donors.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects weighing up to 75lbs.
