Job Title: Sr. Project Wastewater Engineer

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and become part of a flourishing group of esteemed professionals. As a Sr. Project Wastewater Engineer, you will independently complete complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, and compile technical reports. You will also lead projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
  • Manage projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems.
  • Develop construction documents/specifications and handle engineering services during construction.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.
  • Develop medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare complete construction packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW conveyance systems for clients.
  • Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
  • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff.
Requirements
  • Years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal WW conveyance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Experience in process design, treatment plants upgrades, and pump station design.
  • Client relationship skills, including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment.
  • Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to develop competence in a broad array of engineering-related tasks.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior-level staff.
  • Successful track record of proposal writing and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • P.E. required.
