The Senior Associate, Warehouse Operations is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and accuracy of the facility's inventory. This includes controlling inventory adjustments and holds, profiling/sorting incoming product, resolving inbound and outbound discrepancies, purchasing supplies, and ensuring timely delivery and processing physical returns.
Responsibilities- Process physical returns in a timely manner
- Offer assistance to other team members to ensure efficient operations
- Segregate product based on hazardous classification
- Maintain inventory accuracy by managing product holds, product movements, physical returns, purchasing of products, and automated tracking of inventory
- Drive efficient picking and replenishment by profiling products to determine the best slotting, based on weights and measures, palette dimensions, frequency of product movement, expiration date, hazardous classifications, and other characteristics
- Continually monitor quality and productivity metrics, including damaged product, adjustments, shortages, and cycle counts, and regularly communicate with Supervisor and other internal departments on inventory accuracy and quality metrics
- Investigate outbound discrepancies by checking for differences between physical counts and WMS records, identify and report variances to Customer Care team, and ensure that customers are shipped variances promptly
- Resolve inbound discrepancies by initiating communication with external suppliers and coordinating with Quality Assurance teams, make necessary adjustments in WMS, and determine implications for customer order fulfillment
- May determine proper resolution of discrepancies and other operational errors to ensure that customer commitments can be fulfilled in scheduled timeframe, promptly communicate the root cause and resolution to the Supervisor, Manager, and other internal stakeholders as necessary to minimize future errors
- Place Purchasing Orders (PO's) for customers and track to ensure on-time deliveries to prevent service disruptions
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operations and mitigate risks in inventory control and broader operations, provide input into operational excellence initiatives through Supervisor and Manager
- Serve as a resource to other team members, instruct Associates on complex picking, put-away, and replenishment tasks to maximize inventory accuracy, and be flexible to support daily operational needs
- 2-4 years of experience, preferred
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for entire shift
- Apply knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
- May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
- Adhere to all quality guidelines
- Work with limited supervision
- Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
- May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
