Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Specialist to join our team at Montana State University. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage multiple projects, and develop positive relationships with campus offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective students and their families
  • Use strong communication and interpersonal skills to disseminate vital information regarding MSU's admission procedures and recruitment events
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of large-scale events
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with campus offices
  • Collect, enter, and maintain prospective student information in the MSU database and CRM technologies
Requirements
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. plus progressively responsible entry to mid-level administrative support and/or clerical experience
  • Demonstrated experience using personal computers and software, such as word processing, spreadsheets, electronic calendars, and email
  • Demonstrated excellent written communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated competence in organizing and prioritizing workloads, functioning independently, and using good judgment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with college/university student recruitment efforts
  • Experience with Banner or similar software package/relational database
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Excel programs
  • Knowledge of or experience with MSU Bozeman Policies and Procedures
