As a General Cardiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of clinical standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient, inpatient, and consultative clinical services to patients with cardiovascular disease.
- Collaborate with hospital departments, including primary care, hospitalists, emergency department, and imaging services, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Work with other VCU Health cardiology providers to establish and implement standards of practice for cardiac care.
- Contribute to the development of health system goals at the local level.
- Support clinical research protocols as needed.
- Participate in quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Board certification or eligibility in cardiology with demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular disease.
- Clinical orientation with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse healthcare environment or commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
