Project Financial Analyst

The Babcock Power company is seeking a skilled Project Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for maintaining the project control environment for assigned divisions. This involves implementing and overseeing processes, procedures, tools, and reports to support project management. The successful candidate will also educate project teams on established processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent adherence to business processes and procedures.
- Approve and reconcile weekly payroll in RPTS.
- Process technician's expense reports.
- Analyze project processes and evaluate against best practices.
- Develop and maintain project analysis and reporting, including cost analysis, hours analysis, estimate to complete, and risk identification.
- Prepare project-related billing and administer contract database.
- Support project teams in day-to-day troubleshooting, including time collection issues and project analysis.
- Team-oriented, able to work and contribute to a multi-skilled, multi-experienced group.
- Understanding of project management process, including estimation, cost management, schedule development, change management, project controls, and billing.
- Ability to identify risks and experience in participating in diverse and remote project teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including people, listening, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MSA or MBA is a plus.
- 2-5 years' experience in project accounting, FP&A, or public accounting-audit only.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products required; Costpoint preferred.
The base pay range for this Finance Analyst is $59,750-$78,500.
