\t* A valid Connecticut Department of Health License

\t* Experience in providing speech services in a school setting
\t* Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration skills
\t* Knowledge of augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) systems
\t* Knowledge of speech and language, assessment tools, methods, and child development in the area of language
\t* Knowledge of differentiated instruction
\t* Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans
\t* Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
\t* Ability to communicate effectively with staff, LEA, students, and parents
\t* Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
\t* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work
\t* Ability to pass a two-day safety care training program
