Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist - First Assist to support our surgeons in the Operating Room (OR). This critical role involves providing technical assistance during surgeries and ensuring a well-prepared and functional OR environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and functional operating room environment, ensuring proper equipment operation.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of surgeons' preferences to assist in successful surgeries.
  • Support surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and technical tasks to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Prepare and stock operating rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with patient positioning, prepping, draping, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.
  • Conduct instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator, ensuring proper handling of surgical specimens.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
  • Proficiency in endo-vein harvesting, with a preference for five years of experience in CVOR.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
  • Certification through NBSTSA or National Surgical Assistant Association, or eligibility for certification.
  • Completion of 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually in advanced training.
