About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Atwell LLC, a leading consulting, engineering, and construction services company. As a Project Surveyor, you will play a critical role in the success of our survey group and the execution of projects that vary in size, detail, and complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with Project Managers to provide input during the proposal and project planning phase, ensuring the establishment of project scope, budgets, staffing, and project schedule.
  • Survey Crew Management: Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Survey Services: Provide oversight on large-scale ALTA surveys, construction-related services, and guide junior team members to complete tasks such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D daily and related engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within prescribed standards and budgets.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicate with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders to maintain a dynamic team environment.
Requirements
  • Advanced Surveying Knowledge: Possess an advanced understanding of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, leveling, traversing, GPS, data collections, legal descriptions, plan interpretations, and real estate documents.
  • Software Experience: Prior experience with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center is highly preferred. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is also required.
  • Field Experience: Prior experience working in the field on a survey crew is highly preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: LSIT or PLS is required.
