Key Responsibilities:

Board Development:

  • Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to invigorate their participation in policy-making, membership expansion, and organizational visibility.
  • Assist in crafting a strategic vision for the future while identifying growth and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive onboarding and training program for new board members.
  • Continuously assess board governance and leadership effectiveness.

Finance & Operations:

  • Contribute to the creation and oversight of the annual budget in partnership with financial management staff and the Board Finance Committee.
  • Ensure the organization maintains adequate cash flow and that the annual budget is adequately funded.
  • Generate monthly financial reports and establish budgets for events and programs.

Program Management:

Member Engagement & Recruitment:

  • Set ambitious goals for new member acquisition and retention of existing members.
  • Oversee customer service management and the onboarding process for new members.
  • Design and implement a member referral program to generate new leads.
  • Analyze the current membership structure and develop innovative strategies to diversify membership and enhance engagement.
  • Streamline communication processes to ensure clarity and ease of access for members.

Vendor Relations:

  • Secure sponsorships for organizational events and initiatives.
  • Create value-added opportunities for member and vendor collaboration.

Government Relations:

  • Guide the organization’s legislative agenda and monitor updates from the Legislative Affairs Director.
  • Address legislative concerns from members and coordinate engagement with elected officials.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Marketing & Event Management:

  • Establish sponsorship benchmarks for annual events.
  • Implement a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing event promotion, member engagement, and digital outreach.
  • Manage an event calendar to coordinate outreach activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with event planners to ensure successful execution of major events.
