We are seeking enthusiastic Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians (CRTT) who possess the expertise to deliver exceptional care across various environments, including Emergency Departments, Trauma Units, and Critical Care settings.
Overview:
This role involves providing care for individuals suffering from cardiopulmonary conditions.Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency codes and urgent calls for assistance.- Evaluate patient conditions and administer appropriate treatments.
- Implement and monitor prescribed therapies according to the care plan.
- Document and communicate patient status effectively.
- Educate patients and their families regarding the illness and available community resources.
- Review and enhance respiratory care protocols based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
Required Competencies:
ACCOUNTABILITY, ARTERIAL BLOOD GAS SAMPLING, ARTIFICIAL AIRWAY MANAGEMENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE, HIGH-FLOW NASAL CANNULA THERAPY, MECHANICAL VENTILATION WEANING, NON-INVASIVE POSITIVE PRESSURE VENTILATION, PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE, ADAPTABILITY, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS.Educational and Certification Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is mandatory. Certifications required include:- BLS American Heart E-Card
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (State License)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (State License)
Additional Information:
This position demands critical thinking, effective communication, and decisive judgment, with the ability to operate independently in high-pressure situations.Working Conditions:
- Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of patients weighing 35 pounds or more.- Requires ability to push, pull, and carry equipment.
- Exposure to biological hazards and various environmental conditions.
