Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Yard Specialist to join our team at Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, LLC. As a key member of our yard maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard facilities, including pen maintenance, groundskeeping, painting, cleaning, and tank washing/repair.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and prioritize tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Operate heavy equipment, including tractors and mowers, to maintain road surfaces, bunk pads, pens, and alleys
- Perform repairs to water systems and tanks to ensure a continuous supply of freshwater to cattle
- Paint and re-paint pens, buildings, and other structures as needed
- Ensure equipment is properly serviced and maintained, including fueling, checking fluid levels, and cleaning
- Comply with all applicable safety rules and policies
- Valid driver's license
- Heavy Equipment Operator certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
The Maintenance Yard Specialist will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and varying weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands:The Maintenance Yard Specialist will be required to lift, push, pull, carry, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, stand, sit, kneel/squat, twist, walk, run, grasp, squeeze, reach, and turn. The ability to walk through cattle pens and move swiftly if conditions warrant is essential.
