Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at A-Line Staffing Solutions. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with drug preparation and dispensing, adhering to state pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform higher-level tasks, such as inventory control, data entry, and IV preparation, to support pharmacy operations.
  • Fulfill prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Label products correctly, including cautionary or auxiliary labels, to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in periodic inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory.
  • Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may involve non-sterile compounding.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • May process returned medications for credit or destruction.
  • Assist in training new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Requirements
  • Verifiable High School Diploma
  • Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
  • Must have valid NY license
  • National Certifications preferred
  • 1 year of pharmacy tech experience – long-term care setting preferred
