Maintenance Technician Job Description

Real Estate Equities is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amber Fields, a 160-unit property located in Rosemount, MN. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the property's plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and equipment are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing furnace filters and organizing the maintenance shop.
  • Order supplies and parts as needed and maintain a vendor log for all vendors used.
  • Create and maintain warranty information on all appliances and building equipment.
  • Call vendors for repairs during the warranty period and track completion of warranty repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and foster good resident relations.
  • Maintain the Yardi Maintenance work order system and complete work orders in a timely fashion.
  • Perform follow-up calls on work orders as necessary and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled or as new properties are built in the area.
Requirements:
  • Must possess appropriate licenses and certifications, i.e., Boilers' License and CPO within one year of employment if required by mechanicals in building and amenities.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and/or on-call as required.
  • 1 year of previous maintenance experience, 3 years of previous maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, push, and walk up and down stairs as necessary.
  • Ability to work with hands over their head and perform duties while standing on a ladder safely.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs to chest height.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with some weekends as necessary dependent on business needs. Compensation details: 28-30 Hourly Wage.
