Roofing Specialist

Join the Rust-Oleum Corporation team as a Field Support Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Assist sales representatives in developing business in assigned markets and providing solid market presence.
• Support sales representatives in making sales, including preparing and distributing marketing materials, inspecting and evaluating properties, and preparing scope of work documents.
• Conduct inspections to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, and prepare reports for owners regarding the condition of roofs.
• Monitor installation of Tremco roofing products to determine whether to issue a Tremco warranty.
• Identify problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof, and develop solutions to implement.
• Perform patch and repair work for small leaks and minor maintenance to prevent potential leaks.
• Conduct diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs, take photographs, and prepare CADD drawings as needed.

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two to three years of related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role.
• Prior sales and/or customer-related experience in the roofing industry required.
• Thorough understanding and application of roofing and waterproofing contracting standards.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and familiarity with CADD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical information.
• Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and similar documents.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, contractors, and architects.

• Intermediate skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts.

• High skills: ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

• Ability to climb interior/exterior ladders to access roofs and carry equipment up to approximately fifty pounds over short distances.
• Ability to walk along roof top edges.
• Tolerance to exposure to outside weather conditions.
