Pipe Layer Specialist

We are seeking experienced Pipe Layers with a strong background in heavy civil construction to join our team. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for preparing and laying pipe for storm drains, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and other types of pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Installation
    • Prepare trenches for pipeline installation by excavating, shoring, and grading the area.
    • Lay out pipe routes using blueprints and coordinating with Foreman.
    • Align and position pipes to ensure they conform to specifications.
  • Trench Preparation
    • Ensure trenches are bedded and backfilled properly to prevent pipe damage.
    • Install pipes that are on grade and airtight as required.
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate equipment such as lasers, transits, grade rods, and line levels to achieve accurate pipe placement.
    • Set up and operate pipe lasers to establish line and enter proposed slope.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Participation in pre-employment and random drug screening program.
  • Subject to background screening process.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Located in the Columbia, SC area, this position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
