Position Overview

Adventist Health is looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our esteemed healthcare team.

Role Responsibilities

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Operating x-ray machinery to create radiographic images of specified body areas as directed by medical professionals.
  • Positioning and guiding patients before procedures, adjusting equipment settings, and determining the appropriate exposure parameters for each radiograph.
Work Schedule

This role is a full-time commitment, featuring 12-hour shifts during weekends, with working hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. A hiring incentive is available for qualified candidates.

Educational and Certification Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in Radiological Technology (preferred).

Licenses and certifications required include:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R).
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fluoroscopy license (preferred).
Key Duties

The essential functions of this role include:

  • Conducting screening procedures for diagnostic purposes, explaining processes to patients, and addressing their inquiries.
  • Preparing imaging equipment and examination rooms for patient assessments.
  • Positioning patients accurately for imaging and ensuring their safety throughout the procedures.
  • Generating diagnostic images and documenting relevant exam details.
  • Reporting critical findings to the supervising physician.
  • Verifying examinations on the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Completing additional job-related tasks as assigned.
