Pastry Cook Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef to produce an array of exquisite dessert items and baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to established recipes.
- Execute pastry orders for catered events, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in accommodating special requests and dietary needs.
- Showcase your mastery in baking a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies, utilizing classic techniques and innovative approaches.
- Create confectionery decorations and pastry fillings, staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in pastry baking.
- Apply traditional pastry baking methods to prepare classic pastries with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain a meticulous adherence to food industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure the optimal functioning of specialized pastry baking equipment, conducting regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting any issues.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- An Associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or a related field is highly preferred.
- Post-secondary vocational training at a culinary institution would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pastry cook, baker, or in a similar role.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of traditional pastry baking techniques and a passion for creating exceptional desserts.
- Exhibit strong coordination skills, effectively collaborating with other chefs and managing pastry section staff.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of food industry regulations and safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
Monday - Friday daytime, with some evenings and weekends required during peak seasons.
Compensation:Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
