Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

TotalMed Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.
  • Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Provide education and support to mothers and their families during the postpartum period, including breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
