About the Position
The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled dermatologist to join our team at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System in Monterey, California. As a dermatologist with the VA, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that prioritizes providing high-quality healthcare to our nation's veterans. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as a board-certified dermatologist in a federal setting.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients in the dermatology clinic, providing expert care for various dermatologic conditions, and practicing safety and infection control methods. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train and supervise medical students and residents in dermatology. The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Evaluating and managing eligible patients in the dermatology clinic
• Providing extensive expertise in the treatment of various dermatologic conditions
• Practicing safety, environmental, and infection control methods
• Evaluating and advising primary physicians on inpatients hospitalized at the Palo Alto VA for which consults are requested
• Supporting programs in all critical areas
• Exercising initiative and judgment in day-to-day activities
• Training and supervising medical students and residents in dermatology

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $385,000 annually, plus incentives such as performance pay up to $15,000. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
