Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS) is a division of BWX Technologies, a leading U.S.-based company that provides safe and effective nuclear solutions for global security, clean energy, environmental restoration, nuclear medicine and space exploration. With over 7,800 employees across 14 major operating sites in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., we are the sole manufacturer of naval nuclear reactors for U.S. submarines and aircraft carriers.
As a Senior Project Manager at Nuclear Fuel Services, you will be responsible for managing large on-site and off-site projects, serving as the principal point of contact with clients on off-site projects. Your duties will include proposing, planning, executing, reviewing operations, preparing schedules and budgets to ensure performance and project objectives are achieved.
You will interface with customers and management to ensure the customer's needs and objectives are met while maximizing benefits to NFS. You will also provide management leadership and technical direction to project teams, including subcontractors, and supervise subordinate staff. Additionally, you will solicit appropriate resources from functional groups, communicate and coordinate with support groups, prepare reports and make presentations, and instill a quality performance attitude in project teams.
With a focus on Decommissioning projects, you will maintain accountability for project safety, quality, cost, and schedule expectations. You will also identify and manage resource needs to support D&D Project completion, provide oversight and continuous monitoring of D&D contractor's project management and execution, and provide monthly project accruals for operations for D&D contracts.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical discipline, along with over ten years of experience in technical industry experience, including minimum of 4 years involving chemical process development, operations, design or environmental services. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team leadership, initiative, and decision-making abilities acquired through experience.
We offer a competitive salary range of $132,000 - $217,260 per year, based on local job market factors and individual qualifications. Our total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
