Licensed Practical Nurse

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Community Living Center. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and carry out basic treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patients' response to medication and treatments, reporting changes and documenting effectiveness.
- Function as a member of the team, participating in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Provide or reinforce effective patient education to patients and their families.
- Document the effectiveness of education.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living toward the attainment of rehabilitative/restorative goals.
- Perform escort and sitter duties based on the care needs of veterans.
- Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team-oriented setting. The incumbent must be able to work effectively in stressful situations and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
