Job Summary

SR COMPANIES LLC is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to enhance the SRIM experience for our residents and their families. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting a dignified and caring atmosphere for our residents, families, visitors, and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise self-administration of medication for residents
  • Assist with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence
  • Interact with residents at all levels of care, demonstrating empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
  • Observe and report daily changes in resident health and emotional well-being to the supervisor
  • Participate in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents
  • Perform daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and associates
  • Ensure residents and/or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community
  • Identify and report safety hazards to the supervisor
  • Provide assistance to associates when requested or required
  • Know, understand, and follow established policies and procedures in emergency situations
  • Be considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Knowledge of word processing software and electronic medical records
