Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a Veterinarian at Petco, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, leading a team of veterinary professionals, and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients, including routine and complex dental procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic testing.
  • Lead a team of veterinary professionals, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other medical interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinary specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in rounds, including morning and evening rounds, to ensure continuity of patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Ability to perform anesthesia and routine surgeries, including canine and feline spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
