Solar Installer Job Description

NY State Solar is seeking a skilled Solar Installer to join our team. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and installing high-quality solar systems in New York.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install solar panel systems, including layout and assembly of solar modules and mounting hardware.
  • Perform mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
  • Ensure proper electrical wiring of solar arrays and systems.
  • Conduct thorough clean-up of job sites.
  • Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodologies, and safety protocols.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company policies.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of solar installation experience.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on roofs with pitched surfaces.
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pound ladders and climb ladders/stairs.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Clean driver's license and OSHA 10 certification.
