Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our mobile and web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating within an Agile framework, ensuring adherence to Quality Engineering best practices.
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust testing framework, including the development of automated test cases for both mobile and web application components, aimed at elevating quality and accelerating development cycles.
  • Conducting comprehensive testing utilizing diverse methodologies, encompassing both manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Implementing automated pipelines to facilitate functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Proactively monitoring the status of functional and regression testing for each release cycle.
  • Assisting developers in diagnosing software defects, analyzing root causes, and recommending quality enhancements.
  • Utilizing tools such as JIRA to report, track, and prioritize enhancements and defects.
  • Partnering with Scrum team members, including engineering and product management, to deliver business functionalities on schedule, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Drafting test cases and scenarios based on requirements and designs, while managing bug tracking processes.
  • Creating, executing, and overseeing automated test suites, identifying issues and potential gaps in coverage.
  • Supporting governance of testing processes, data, and execution metrics to drive team performance improvements.
  • Conducting risk assessments for features and projects under your purview, providing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
  • Developing high-quality, end-to-end automation tests that align with acceptance criteria and user scenarios.
  • Contributing significantly to the continuous integration and delivery pipelines, performing code reviews, and collaborating with the DevOps team to enhance test infrastructure.
  • Working closely with the Product Management Team to establish clear acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Conducting manual exploratory testing to uncover hard-to-detect bugs and user experience issues.
  • Ensuring the quality of monthly releases for our users.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development, Automation Testing, and Software Deployment.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java or C#.
  • Experience in Mobile and Web Application UI Automation, specifically with React Native for iOS and Android, as well as React JS for web applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and integrating automation suites into pipelines.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Appium, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Espresso, XCUITest, Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured, and Gatling, along with CI/CD tools like Docker and Jenkins.
  • A strategic understanding of automation tools and frameworks, with hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining automation regression.
  • Strong foundation in quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and effective test case writing.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • A solid grasp of various testing methodologies including black, white, grey, and glass box testing.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, coding, and operating systems.
