Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at St. Joseph Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for ultrasound examinations, and collaborating with radiologists to diagnose diseases and disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate medical imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines and probes, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to review exam results, provide feedback, and ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, notify Clinical Engineering as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Verify patient orders and identification, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of imaging services.
Requirements
  • ARDMS(AB) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of PACS systems and ability to utilize them effectively.
Schedule Information

St. Joseph Healthcare offers a competitive compensation package, including a local rate for travelers who reside within 50 miles of the facility. Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.

Travelers must reside outside the state of Maine.
