Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Radiology Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Diagnostic Radiology technical personnel, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Collaborate with the Director and other management staff to develop, interpret, and apply departmental policies, budgets, and long-range plans.
  • Oversee administrative activities, including budget preparation, variance reports, and Kronos records.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, maintain master work schedules, and assign personnel appropriately.
  • Implement and monitor KRONOS schedules and timecards, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
  • Prepare business plans for capital budgets, including equipment replacement and staffing numbers.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, quality assurance testing, and repair of X-Ray and related equipment.
  • Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and JCAHO accreditation.
  • Mediate individual problems related to staff, morale, procedures, salary adjustments, safety, and discipline.
  • Oversee department in-service programs, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in AMC committees, including OR, QIT, and other relevant committees.
  • Actively market services of the Diagnostic Department and work with other AMC departments as needed.
  • Monitor and respond to patient/customer complaints, following up as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Training Program in an AMA-approved school.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Management or Radiologic-related field preferred.
  • Non-restrictive professional license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years as a Radiologic Technologist with at least 3 years of demonstrated record of progressive responsibility.
