Parcel Optimization Analyst

At Stord, we're seeking a skilled Parcel Optimization Analyst to join our team and help us optimize our customers' supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling, with experience in parcel carrier analysis, transportation, warehouses, or networks.

As a Parcel Optimization Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements, and developing practical solutions to business problems.

You will work closely with our technology partners to develop insights and create executive presentations of your results.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting analytical projects from start to completion, including data assessment, solution design, analysis, and presentation of results
  • Maintaining broad responsibilities in cost and service performance, identifying opportunities through analytical tools and observations
  • Defining, transforming, and structuring data from internal and external platforms for efficiency, stability, and reliability
  • Collecting, analyzing, and publishing data for parcel KPI reporting
  • Making recommendations for process improvement and cost savings initiatives
  • Providing cost and revenue feedback to key stakeholders across Stord, including insights into financial performance and forecasting
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with carrier partners to ensure efficient flow of operations to maintain the customer experience
  • Coordinating and supporting all aspects of the company's parcel programs, including domestic and international carriers
  • Developing and managing sufficient relationships, programs, and processes to support the execution of the organization's rapidly evolving parcel operations and strategy
  • Providing additional support during peak holiday shipping seasons
  • Performing and maintaining regular audits of carriers, services, and vendor performance
  • Reviewing and analyzing activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward goals and strategic objectives

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, or Engineering
  • ~2-4 years of professional experience in parcel analysis with a career path showing increasing responsibility
  • ~Experience leveraging databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform business decisions
  • ~Experience with a Business Intelligence Tool (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • ~Interest in learning/applying Operations Research
  • ~Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Office 365 applications
  • ~Ability to compile and analyze large data quantities
  • ~Experience in BI tools (QlikSense, etc.)
  • Experience Modeling Parcel Carriers, Transportation, Warehouses, or Networks
  • Experience with any cloud development platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Software Development paradigms and tools (Agile, CI/CD, Documentation, Unit/Regression tests, Object Oriented Programming)
