Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the surgical suite, working closely with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and preparing equipment.
  • Anticipate and provide the necessary supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a safe and clean environment for the patient and surgical team.
  • Assist with specimen collection and handling, and ensure proper labeling and storage.
  • Participate in the maintenance of instruments and equipment, including cleaning, sterilization, and storage.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, with a focus on orthopedic, vascular, and robotics procedures.
  • Level 1 Trauma experience and previous traveler experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a travel setting.
  • Knowledge of robotic surgical procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
