Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the shift supervisor in overseeing night warehouse operations and employee performance
  • Ensure that safety, quality, and performance standards are met
  • Use strong leadership skills to communicate with and motivate employees
  • Assist in performing warehouse duties, including picking, palletizing, load-building, and loading of trucks, as needed to support operations
  • Safely operate essential warehouse equipment, including forklifts, wrap machines, and other automation
  • Ensure that the warehouse is kept neat and orderly to promote safe and efficient operations
  • Oversee and conduct the night warehouse supervisors' rolls when the supervisor is not present
  • Assist the night warehouse supervisor in setting goals, including those relating to operational performance, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain favorable working relationships with employees and customers to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them in partnership with other members of leadership
  • Train newly hired employees and other personnel as assigned
  • Assume supervisor responsibilities when needed to provide coverage for absences
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college education preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience leading, coaching, and developing staff preferred
  • Previous experience in warehousing and/or distribution preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and understand retailers and coworkers
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort working independently, exercising sound judgment, and taking initiative
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities
  • Commitment to working safely and maintaining a fun and friendly work environment
  • Understands and carefully follows company policies and procedures
  • Willingly listens and demonstrates an ability to effectively address and resolve conflict

Physical Demands and Requirements
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting for shifts lasting 8+ hours
  • Ability to lift and carry 40lbs regularly
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25lbs, occasionally lift and/or move 100lbs
  • Comfort working in refrigerated areas of the warehouse
Environmental Conditions and Temperament
  • Typically works indoors in varying environments – office and warehouse
  • Requires working in refrigerated areas of the warehouse
  • May be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
