Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and develop your skills in patient care, medication management, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical functions in a pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Participate in a structured program for professional development, including training in medication use, patient care, and pharmacy operations.
  • Assist in identifying and engaging in organizational and department quality improvement activities to improve patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Develop skills in assessing drug information and providing effective information to patients, healthcare professionals, and peers.
Requirements
  • Must be fully-matriculated and accepted in the College of Pharmacy.
  • One of the following licenses: Current Utah State Pharmacy Intern Licensure or Current Temporary Pharmacist License issued through the State of Utah.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Second or Third year intern.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. This position involves standing for extended periods of time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
