Job Title: Head of Tax, Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tax Director to lead our global tax department at Booz Allen. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing tax matters, developing tax strategies, and overseeing compliance across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support business growth
  • Manage tax matters and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where BAH operates
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of outside tax professionals serving BAH
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization in various regions, including transfer pricing, tax incentives, and international tax planning

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience with global taxation, including progressively responsible roles in a multinational corporation or tax consulting firm
  • Experience in building relationships with tax authorities in various jurisdictions, representing the company during tax audits or negotiations and pressure situations
  • Ability to convey complex tax concepts to leadership in various functional areas, including C-suite executives and Investor Relations
  • Ability to oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, foreign, and local tax returns, estimates, and extensions
  • Ability to review the Company's quarterly and annual accounting income tax provision, including related financial statement disclosures and internal controls

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal government contractor
  • Possession of excellent management and leadership skills in both in-house and outsourced environments
  • Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree
  • CPA License preferred
