About the Role

Axia Women's Health is seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret physician notes and obtain clarification when necessary
  • Receive, access, or reject specimens according to standard operating procedures
  • Determine specimen adequacy for all cytology and histology samples
  • Process specimens and evaluate control slides to ensure proper staining patterns
  • Follow College of American Pathologist (CAP) requirements for performing proficiency testing and reporting results
  • Perform data entry of case information into the laboratory information system
  • Document daily, weekly, and monthly workloads, and perform and document daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science or one of chemical or biological sciences
  • Completion of an accredited program in Cytotechnology
  • Cytotechnologist (CT) certification or eligibility from the American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • At least one year of relevant experience
