Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Experience in guest services is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
Physical Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work long hours as needed.
  • Sedentary work - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Availability for late/overnight shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Work with and understand financial information and data, performing basic arithmetic functions.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas.
  • Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Perform guest service functions as required (e.g., check guests in/out, take reservations, wake-up calls).
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports (e.g., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports) in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
  • Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work.
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card transactions promptly.
  • Ensure accuracy of all reported numbers, including statistics.
  • Input and update financial information into the corporate communications network.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required.
  • Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations from policies or procedures.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to governmental inquiries as needed.
  • Handle guest requests efficiently.
