Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and Orthopedic Physicians Assistant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing care to and coordinating the care of trauma, acute care surgery, and orthopedic patients at CHMC, ensuring they receive optimal care throughout their hospitalization.

The primary goal of this role is to assure trauma patients receive quality care directly as an expert clinician and indirectly as a consultant, change agent, educator, and quality improvement agent.

This position requires close collaboration with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, ancillary personnel, patients, and their families to facilitate the ongoing development of the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute setting working with trauma, orthopedic, and ICU patients.
  • Surgical and Trauma training.
  • First assist H&P assessment of trauma patients.
  • Current PA licenses, ACLS, PALS, BLS required.
  • Auditing ATLS skills desirable.

Estimated Salary: $86.00 /hour
