Senior Cloud Architect

Capgemini Government Solutions LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Architect to support our government clients.
The Senior Cloud Architect will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex cloud and cloud infrastructure solutions that meet Government requirements.
- Develop and implement cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure supports the software development process, including continuous integration and deployment.
- Lead the DevOps team to develop automation tools and processes to streamline software development and deployment.
- Ensure that cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to detect and diagnose issues in the cloud infrastructure and software applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other architects and engineers.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with CSPs and vendors.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture solutions.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- U.S. Citizen NATO//SECRET.IASE Level III
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Or a combined set of years of experience in lieu of a degree, including the following:
- Fifteen years of combined computer/network architecture experience
- Or eight years of confirmed experience in Cloud Architecture is acceptable in place of a degree
- Ten years of technical or management experience on DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems
- Five years of technical or management experience supporting industry and Government sector cloud initiatives at an enterprise level
- One full year of experience within the last three years, defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring IA compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, communicating with Government personnel, and providing progress reports
- Three full years of experience within the last three years working with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure) in cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region / multi-availability zone (AZ) high availability (HA) (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, and/or if needed for the new CSPs
- Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures
- Ability to lead at a Platform level
- Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
- Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
- Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently lead product releases, sprints, and development cycles
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er)
