DIVISION INSIGHT: Within our statewide Adult Court Services, we assist clients involved in the court system or on probation due to offenses often linked to substance use disorders. We provide avenues for clients to reconstruct their lives, enabling them to achieve health and self-sufficiency. Our services encompass screening and assessments for substance use disorders, facilitating placements into treatment programs, and offering support with essential activities such as insurance enrollment, obtaining state identification, and accessing employment resources.
Position Summary: This role is pivotal in delivering addiction intervention, AODA counseling, and recovery support services to clients and their families. The incumbent will be responsible for integrating services, agencies, resources, and individuals to aid clients in reaching their defined objectives.
- Deliver direct services and coordinate additional resources to assist clients in meeting their established service plan objectives.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to determine client eligibility for agency services.
- Adhere to the service hour protocols established by the agency.
- Encourage client engagement in drug treatment and community resources.
- Provide counseling and support to family members to help them understand and assist the client.
- Facilitate individual and/or group orientation or educational sessions as required.
- Represent clients and the agency in staffing meetings, court hearings, probation, parole, and provider networks.
- Offer referrals for identified client needs and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
- Document assessment results, service plans, reports, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related activities, ensuring accurate reporting of services.
Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in human services, social work, psychology, or related fields.
- One or more years of experience in human service activities, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Understanding of human behavior and the signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, with specific knowledge necessary for working with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with the Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals.
- Knowledge of federal drug and alcohol confidentiality laws (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
- Awareness of the criminal justice system.
- Availability to attend meetings and meet program/client needs throughout the designated areas (a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required).

The agency currently offers hybrid work schedules that combine in-office and remote work. Employees are required to report to the work site three days per week with the option to work up to two days remotely.
