Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Clinician II is a senior-level physical therapist responsible for delivering high-quality physical therapy care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy care to patients, including evaluation, implementation of intervention programs, and discharge planning.
  • Order equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Represent the department at rounds and discharge conferences.
  • Schedule and charge patients.
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, students, and volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
  • Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Physical Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
  • Successful challenge of the VCUHS Physical Therapy Clinical Ladder.

Working Conditions:

The Physical Therapist Clinician II will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent and intense customer interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to frequent change and handle multiple priorities.
