Job Description

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Centers and Volunteer Specialist to support the administrative management of CSWE centers and volunteers in the CSWE Division of Education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities and programming related to CSWE's centers, including meetings coordination and programming as needed.
  • Support Division of Education volunteers, including recruitment, engagement, and recognition.
  • Communicate with advisory boards, members, and social work programs regarding center initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and other initiatives.
  • Complete website updates and prepare correspondence and reports related to center and volunteer operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (MSW strongly preferred) and work experience preferably in a national membership association and/or higher education or social work.
  • Knowledge or experience in education association, higher education, or social work preferred.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Demonstrates skill in understanding of cultural differences.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrates a commitment to antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse volunteers and volunteer groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel 1-3 times per year.
  • Experience with certification or continuing education programs desirable.
Benefits
  • The salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000 depending on experience.

Work Environment

This position is primarily sedentary and is performed in an office setting. May be required to use a computer screen for extensive periods of time. The physical demands of this position are limited to the ability to use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment, move up to 25 lbs.; move articles used in program activities. Extended working hours and occasional travel within the United States may be necessary as well.
