Paraprofessional Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional I to join our team at Milpitas Unified School District. As a key member of our instructional support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to teachers and students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group instruction.
• Assist with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment to ensure student learning objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse needs.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure seamless communication and support.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with students in a educational setting, preferably in a special education or elementary school environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a fast-paced educational environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• May be required to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
