Job Summary:

ELM Utility Services is seeking a skilled Lead Locate Technician to join our team in the Missoula, Montana area. This is a union position with a competitive hourly rate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Area Manager and perform locates and utility-related tasks. They will be responsible for reporting to the Area Manager and working independently outdoors using a company-provided vehicle as their mobile office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working independently outdoors, utilizing a company-provided vehicle as a mobile office, to complete a route of locate requests each day.
  • Completing all necessary digital documentation and paperwork.
  • Working periodic overtime and weekend on-call rotation may be requested.
  • Assisting in any and all responsibilities assigned by the Area Manager, including problem-solving solutions, coordinating efforts, and reporting results.
  • Issuing Disciplinary Action Notices, Coaching Sessions, and directing workflow.
  • Being responsible for on-call in the absence and/or alternating periods of time or discretion of the Area Manager.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
